Meet Your Farmers at Navy Pier

A two-day Expo was held today and will continue tomorrow at Navy Pier. This is an opportunity to meet the farmers who grow your food organically. This is another effort by the farming community to engage the consumers in a shared concern for eating healthy fresh food direct from the grower. Local farmers in and around the greater Chicago area were on hand to share the wonders of the food they grow.
Tomorrow all will participate in a tradeshow, bringing together retailers and restranteurs with the people who produce the food.
As the farmers' markets open up in May, this Web log will publish the locations in downtown Chicago where you can meet the farmers and buy local, fresh produce.
